Er… Peter Pan syndrome?

I believe that’s what mom was hinting at.

You rock, Madeline (so to speak)! What a mom!

If Mom gets up, that duck is going to knock Alice into next week.

Moms are put on this earth to embarrass their kids.

The other day I found on Facebook that a load of my younger daughter’s friends were discussing a particular high-school teacher (along with others) they’d had in the ’80’s. The thread went on and on. I finally chimed in about a phone conversation that I’d had with him, wherein he helped me identify a piece of classical music (music wasn’t his field). In an earlier comment, my daughter had mentioned something about having beer on his front porch with him and some of her friends (they were underage – now most of them are pushing fifty). After my comment she said something to the effect of OMG – I forgot that Mom was on here. Forget about the beer! [etc.]So moms are forever available to embarrass their kids!P. S.: She’s the one who forced me to get on Facebook, so she wouldn’t have to write me about her activities. Hee hee!

I find this strangely inspiring.

The job of a mom with teenagers is to embarrass them (they’ll thank her later) and Madeline knows it. This is great!

Way to go, Madeline! I have always found acting silly to be a great way to embarrass teenagers. It seems to be working with Alice too. Bonus!

I wish we could be seeing Alice in ten years.
