NH, but only those who spell it “Coutermarsh” are related. I had a teacher who was constantly spelling & pronouncing it “Courtemarsh”. I kept telling him, “Different family!” There was a little bit of scandal when my sister dated a Courtemanche. To make matters worse, his first name was the same as one of our brothers.
