Yea! The “deluxe” edition of the Science Museum is back! Anja Nu says that we’re getting close to opening night! How long have they been rehearsing? When is opening night? June?

Didn’t Crimestoppers tell us awhile back to be sure to check ID? The Science Museum is probably inflatable.

VB, opening night is in November, I think. Where’s FlightSuit? How can we be groupies without him?

Flight Suit has probably picked up on the phony ids idea and is out on the street selling packets of ‘em.

Hmmm… Johnny Nothing’s comment about it being too good for Tracy seems like a clue that he’s the one who threw the rock.

First Anja’s making the actors provide their own costumes, now she leaves it to them to decide whether they get stunt doubles. This is a very unprofessional production.

And since when are stunt doubles used in stage plays?

Such drama! What action! A guy standing around for weeks, playing pocket pool, and thinking punny dialogue!!!

In the light of recent news, I think that Johnny is really Daddy Warbucks.

As along as stage plays had been shown in science museums. Something about insurance coverage.

You would think that by the time they get to a dress rehearsal, they’d already have all the details of the play and they would already know what scenes are coming up when.

Anja’s face continues to morph and change as we go along. Poor job at continuity.

Remenber, compare him to the fellow at HQ in panel “three” tomorrow !

You’d have to think Brozman eat one too many “Graham Crackers”

You know the Dick Tracy strip has gone to the dogs when Nancy Palosi is providing “female relief” !

And see that hat and coat on Tracy (?) they’ll simply disappear from tomorrow, as if they had never been there. See it next Winter.

And the short black hair on the Blank (?) Up ahead watch it turn Red and curly … and who cares ?

Discrepancy Locher ?

The Science Museum / theater is evidently mounted on hidden rails. Sometimes it’s in the middle of the block and has wings on both sides. Sometimes the left wing descends into the basement and the central Museum slides over it to the corner – so slowly and smoothly the people inside don’t notice. I think there is magnetic levitation involved. As the Museum rises and sinks the bottom step telescopes. The bottom step is always long enough to reach the ground, no matter how far down it has to reach.

Some wonder why the play is being held in a science museum – well, how many theaters can do things like that? The unusual properties of the building could be used in various ways. For instance, if the building is made to rise up as Tracy is leaving, the final step will be a plunge to his doom! Or the plot could be more complicated, involving things like trap doors that sometimes lead to an ordinary basement, other times to a snake pit!

Cougar, I have a gut feel Brozman doesn’t know how to draw steps (?) OR It’s a design to make sure the Science Museum never has an exhibit like Diet Smith’s wheeled Robot Traze-R

Could any cartoonist be so inept he can’t even draw steps, of all things? A lot of people have trouble with hands, but steps?

I guess if you don’t look at what you’re drawing even the simplest things can be difficult….

By the way, there was a recent idiotic Crimestopper’s Textbook that said you should ask door-to-door salesmen for id, if I recall correctly. Several of us pointed out that phony ids are easily available. Does this mean Locher is paying attention?

I doubt it, but who knows….

I like the Annie storyline. The Dick Tracy storyline keeps changing, though. Wasn’t this originally supposed to be a murder mystery party? Weren’t Tracy’s coworkers supposed to participate? Whoever heard of a play being performed at a Science Museum? And who ever heard of a stunt double in a play?

PS: I’ll take two dozen phony IDs, please.

ANNIE just got canned after 85 years

Where is the new strip?

It’s 5:20 AM my time, Eastern Standard Time. I’ve been told the new strip is usually up by 1:30 AM.

Maybe our bad comments got both Dicks canned (Locher and Tracy). So we’re stuck with this Sunday strip forever.

Panel-Panner, the system is revolting over what they did to Annie.

3:08 Pacific Time. Still no new strip.

As usual-you’re not missing much, other than comment fodder. My local paper is one of the 50 or so left
