Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Yea! The âdeluxeâ edition of the Science Museum is back! Anja Nu says that weâre getting close to opening night! How long have they been rehearsing? When is opening night? June?
First Anjaâs making the actors provide their own costumes, now she leaves it to them to decide whether they get stunt doubles. This is a very unprofessional production.
And since when are stunt doubles used in stage plays?
You would think that by the time they get to a dress rehearsal, theyâd already have all the details of the play and they would already know what scenes are coming up when.
The Science Museum / theater is evidently mounted on hidden rails. Sometimes itâs in the middle of the block and has wings on both sides. Sometimes the left wing descends into the basement and the central Museum slides over it to the corner â so slowly and smoothly the people inside donât notice. I think there is magnetic levitation involved. As the Museum rises and sinks the bottom step telescopes. The bottom step is always long enough to reach the ground, no matter how far down it has to reach.
Some wonder why the play is being held in a science museum â well, how many theaters can do things like that? The unusual properties of the building could be used in various ways. For instance, if the building is made to rise up as Tracy is leaving, the final step will be a plunge to his doom! Or the plot could be more complicated, involving things like trap doors that sometimes lead to an ordinary basement, other times to a snake pit!
Cougar, I have a gut feel Brozman doesnât know how to draw steps (?) OR Itâs a design to make sure the Science Museum never has an exhibit like Diet Smithâs wheeled Robot Traze-R
But check his first try on steps on Jackâs Casino
By the way, there was a recent idiotic Crimestopperâs Textbook that said you should ask door-to-door salesmen for id, if I recall correctly. Several of us pointed out that phony ids are easily available. Does this mean Locher is paying attention?
I like the Annie storyline.
The Dick Tracy storyline keeps changing, though.
Wasnât this originally supposed to be a murder mystery party?
Werenât Tracyâs coworkers supposed to participate?
Whoever heard of a play being performed at a Science Museum?
And who ever heard of a stunt double in a play?

Hereâs my dime. Send a dozen phony ids!

Didnât Crimestoppers tell us awhile back to be sure to check ID? The Science Museum is probably inflatable.

VB, opening night is in November, I think. Whereâs FlightSuit? How can we be groupies without him?

Sydney, welcome back! I hope your short vacation was a pleasant one.

Flight Suit has probably picked up on the phony ids idea and is out on the street selling packets of âem.

Just where is her arm coming from in P6?

Hmmm⌠Johnny Nothingâs comment about it being too good for Tracy seems like a clue that heâs the one who threw the rock.

Collect âem all. The clever and threatening thoughts of Johnny Nothing!
5/13/10: (Reaction to âLetâs put some life into this show.â) âOr maybe death.â
5/15//10: (Reaction to âIâm not sure I have a calling for acting.â) âYouâre going to get a call, Tracy. A wake-up call!â
5/16/10: (Reaction to âNo double for me.) âHow about double or nothing.â
Such drama! What action! A guy standing around for weeks, playing pocket pool, and thinking punny dialogue!!!
In the light of recent news, I think that Johnny is really Daddy Warbucks.

Flight Suit:

As along as stage plays had been shown in science museums. Something about insurance coverage.

Anjaâs face continues to morph and change as we go along. Poor job at continuity.

A dime a dozen? Itâs been a long time since Tracy tried to buy a phony ID.

this strip is not ever what it claims to be.

Where are the other two idiots that were supposed to be in the play?
sydney almost 15 years ago
Is that Lt. Teevo in panel one calling for a dress rehersal ?
Remenber, compare him to the fellow at HQ in panel âthreeâ tomorrow !
Youâd have to think Brozman eat one too many âGraham Crackersâ
sydney almost 15 years ago
You know the Dick Tracy strip has gone to the dogs when Nancy Palosi is providing âfemale reliefâ !
And see that hat and coat on Tracy (?) theyâll simply disappear from tomorrow, as if they had never been there. See it next Winter.
And the short black hair on the Blank (?) Up ahead watch it turn Red and curly ⌠and who cares ?
Discrepancy Locher ?

Could any cartoonist be so inept he canât even draw steps, of all things? A lot of people have trouble with hands, but steps?
I guess if you donât look at what youâre drawing even the simplest things can be difficultâŚ.

ANNIE just got canned after 85 years
coratelli almost 15 years ago
Where is the new strip?
Panel-Panner almost 15 years ago
Itâs 5:20 AM my time, Eastern Standard Time. Iâve been told the new strip is usually up by 1:30 AM.
Maybe our bad comments got both Dicks canned (Locher and Tracy). So weâre stuck with this Sunday strip forever.

Panel-Panner, the system is revolting over what they did to Annie.

3:08 Pacific Time. Still no new strip.
