Um, they’ve been doing rude, derogatory, slapstick humor for a very long time. Scatalogical humor has been around a lot longer than television. In fact, it was the advent of television and censors that toned down much of standup.
I hereby reserve comment on the “Comedy Specials” of the day. Sounds more like a morse code lesson with all the “urban language” bleeping going on..
My wife and I occasionally attend a local “comedy club” event, and occasionally leave before the main act is finished!
It’s not that we don’t enjoy the occasional “naughty story” or “dirty joke”; but we just don’t understand why some “comedians”, and I use this term loosely, have to punctuate every line with a four letter word!
We are not prudes; we know exactly what the words mean! It’s just we don’t need to hear them every few seconds during the show!

Good! If more comedians did this often, the decrease in vulgarity would drop dramatically!
