One of the neighbors, the Higglepooders I think, tried to shoot ’em down last week, but only winged ’em.

You can tell the swami always goes barefoot. Look at the size of those oars.

    Welcome, everybody!

Hooray it’s puzzle time, hooray it’s puzzle time….

    Are you ready, Cleoketeers?

Ready to find the differences in the

    May 16th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” , that is….

You can solve it on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Or better yet… use my side by side version:

    https://i.postimg.cc/02gZN8h2/Cleo-nine-differences-May-16th-20.png

Clara looks a bit skeptical about the contents of that basket.

Cleo is trying to look so nonchalant… but you notice, she’s leaning away.

I’m starting to think it’s NOT just that fellow’s picnic lunch….

and even after we solve the puzzle, I guess we still won’t know for sure.

    I DO know this:

Even if it’s a hooded cobra in panel one, and two dozen pink tea cakes in panel two….

it doesn’t count as a difference.

Okay, I have found six differences. Therefore, that is the number I am sticking with. Six! There are six differences!

Cleo’s acting very lady-like here – wearing eye-shade and not rolling on the floor on one of the pages of that smelly magazine.

Right you are, Liverlips… there are indeed six differences!

    I found that many myself.

Plus three more! A bonus for you!

    And for everybody!

    Say, I’ve been wondering….

    Has anybody seen Gerard D?

He was here every day, but now I haven’t spotted him in about a week.

I don’t like people disappearing in times like these.

A few others are missing, too… but mostly people who I don’t worry about at first, because they only show up here… or even on any comics… pretty intermittently.

SheMc, for one… where are you, SheMc?

DeeCeeWye and DorotheaC, for example, tend to disappear for weeks at a time anyway….

but if you guys are around…. please… stick your noses in to be counted!

Others, like P-51 Strega, and Roaming, I see on other strips, so if they don’t show up here, I don’t worry….

though I DO take it personally, you know…. sniffle.

This is in no way a comprehensive list….

just off the top of my head at one moment in time….

All I meant to say, really, is… I worry about everybody….

so will all missing persons please sign in!

So far, I’ve only found 5 difference. Time to keep looking. I bet Clara wishes that Cleo was sitting in her chair. I tried to log in yesterday afternoon so I could comment on why the word balloon police weren’t called about all those word balloons being eliminated, but every time I tried to log in, it just went to a blank screen. I worried that maybe I had been banned or that, just maybe, they were getting ready to fix Sherpa. Maybe in 2030.

Consider me counted, Susan. I’m here every day, but I don’t say too much as a general rule.

Found 6 on my first look. Will return after a trip to Tecumseh Bread and Pastry (named one of the 100 best bread places in the country by Food and Wine magazine a couple weeks ago – we also live close to a 2nd winner – Zingermann’s Bake House) for this morning’s breakfast and to the Saline Farmers Market for eggs and produce. It reopened at the beginning of the month, but only for food and plants. Have to mask up, keep the distance, and the like, but that’s a small price to pay to get good, fresh produce and keep our farmers going.

    Thanks, Dorothea!

Sounds great…. only about 2,000 miles too far for me to go for bread.

    It’s waaay past my bedtime!

I had some things to do and lost track of the time….

so some of you are probably getting up.

Things have been a little mixed up this week on the puzzle front, and somehow I never got an animation solution from the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA.

It’s not that she’s not stel willing to make one…

    we just kind of forgot.

You know how that Can bi.

But never fear…. I have created one my very own self.

Well, maybe fear a little…. cos it’s not quite as good as the ones from our semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA….

but I hope it will do.

It’s a teensy bit “bouncy”…. that’s what happens if you don’t get the frames exactly the same size…. and I do mean exactly…

so I slowed it down, cos I think that makes the extra movement less bothersome.

Also…. this is NOT a spoiler…. because you’re NOT supposed to look at the animation until AFTER you’ve solve the puzzle anyway….

but there is a teeny extra movement in my .gif that I don’t believe represents any actual difference between the panels…

so if you notice the top pages of Clara’s magazine shifting a bit in the solution…

it’s probably due to the shifting between the my animation frames, and NOT something you missed in the puzzle.

    Anyhow…. solve, solve, solve away….

And then, unless the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA is so prefectionistical that she decides to upload a better animation-solution….

you can check your solution HERE:

    G’night….

GOOD ALMOST AFTERNOON BALLARDEERS! Q-Day 659,208!

    Reasonable weather today. yay!

Has anyone else noticed that the makers of Kleenex have cut the amount of tissues in the cube from 90 to 45? Still the same price… Gotta love getting ripped off in the stores. The multipacks, once you open them, only have the count on the bottom. ok…rant over

    Y’all be safe out there.
