Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for June 24, 2015
Transcript:
Dad: "The trick to balancing is to have a little forward momentum" Calvin: "AAA! No momentum! No momentum!" Dad: "Just pedal slowly. I'm holding the bike, so you won't fall" Calvin: "You'll let go and the bike will launch me into the ionosphere!" Dad: "Trust me, ok?" Calvin: "TRUST you? I hardly KNOW you!" Dad: "I'm your father" Calvin: "What, for six years?! When I'm 40, we'll see how things are going!"

Calvinâs really quick with a retort when he wants to be.

I think Calvin has a good point. Six years, especially the cutest years, are nothing to go by. Wait till the teen years are in full swing and then review their relationship.

I realize the strip wouldnât be so funny, but why isnât a boy Calvinâs age using training wheels?

This storyline is really cracking me up.
It was a bit harsh what Calvin said though.
(Yes, I know itâs only a cartoon)

When I was a kid, bikes were just magical â I couldnât even understand how they moved. For Calvin, it must be something even more warped than his fantastic universe! :)
