Also handy for getting any man’s attention when he will not leave you alone outside the office, particularly when the stiletto heel is on a direct course with his forehead.

Hey, women of the turn of the last century used to have 6" decorative hairpins: those Gibson Girls were NOT to be trifled with. I still have a few of my great-great-great-grandmother’s hairpins with a beautiful pearl or other gemstone. I’d wear them but 1) I have short hair, and 2) I could accidentally give myself a lobotomy.

Night-Gaunt49: Agree, but it is not just aesthetics, but the lifetime of discomfort, if not pain, they will cause.

Hey, if men can handle wearing a suit and tie to look more attractive at the office, women can handle wearing high heels. (Jumps into a convienient hole in the ground awaiting the rebuttals.)

Christopher Vickers: Stupid is as stupid does. The only sensible male dress-up for hot weather is the barog tagalog – a thin, white-on-white ornamented shirt worn not tucked in, with cufflinks and no tie over a tucked-in T-shirt. Look up any formal event in the Philippines for a picture.

Any shoe which interferes with a healthy, natural gait is very UNsexy to me.
