Cathy: When you eat a carrot that contains nothing but carrot, it zooms through your system as a "carrot". When you eat a piece of mass-produced carrot cake that contains 32 ingredients, your metabolism screeches to a halt while your body tries to figure out what all those things are that you just swallowed, and what it's supposed to do with them. Therefore, the problem isn't "fat", it's piles of excess ingredients your body's stacked on its inner shelves and vowed to sort out later! Charlene: Impressive! Cathy: I have my "honorary doctorate in dieting".

Cathy is right on, for once!

Cathy, did it ever occur to you to make the carrot cake yourself with only 5 ingredients? Forget it. Why would God have put carrot cake with an 8 day expiration date on the store shelf if he wanted you to dirty an apron?

Love this!

Ooops, more bad news. Those fruits and vegetables caused your ADHD!
And Oprah uses her White House buddyship to rekindle her hate campaign against the meat industry.
Don’t eat anything Cathy. It’s all political now.
(I don’t have time today to explain, just go to any news page. Both issues are there.)

I believe that if Kathy really gets serious, she’ll find that the carrot is not, in it’s little orange self, simple at all. It is also subject to other influences such as growth conditions, proximity of grower to table..

hate campaign against the meat industry? no campaign is necessary.

Not to mention, is the carrot organic, or not? Because if not, it’s covered with pesticides, etc.
mrslukeskywalker over 14 years ago
Yes, and those pesticides are now being blamed as the cause of ADHD in the recent news.
If it IS organic, it’s probably covered in e-coli. You can’t win there either.
