The circular container looks like shoe polish. I can see how you could use those things to make something that looked milkshake-like, but I’m not sure if that’s the point of the comic… ?
I came back today to see if anyone else “Got it!”. Identifying the shoe polish(Thanks Daoine) helps and I can see mixing it with glue to make something that looks like a chocolate shake…….so adding the batteries makes it an energizing drink(Thanks gir63) So, maybe the expectations were for an energizing shake that you can polish off and have it stick with you all day. I actually like this strip because of it’s being so quirky it often takes a little thought to enjoy what comes out of Jeremy Lambros’ mind. I somehow feel I may still have missed his point here….but love the strip. Thanks JL!!!

I have been reading this comic for over a year now and have yet to find any humor in them. So long and thanks for all the fish.

I usually get these strips, but this one leaves me wondering.
