Thank the kids for this one. LIstening to conversations amongst my young’uns and the others in carpools or scouts, you learn very quickly that when a kid ascribes ‘stupid’ to any other creatures behavior, it really means “Not what I wanted.”
I sometimes think they have selective intelligence. Mine of course learned “walk”, and how to spell it. He also learned various synonyms for walk, and how to spell those too, like “amble”, stroll", and even “constitutional”. He never learned “bath”, but then he didn’t receive many of them. Like all dogs, he hated baths and going to the vet. I never understood the antipathy toward baths. The vet I got.

Actually, Toby. Dogs are very intelligent animals.But I suppose there is always one that isn’t.xxx
