    Actually, birds are not affected by the capsasin in peppers.

    I’ve seen reptiles (iguanas) eat frightening amounts of hot peppers and look around for more, so I’ll take the seed-dispersing thing with a grain of salt. I would agree with the convenience of a pre-flavored chicken.

    If birds can’t taste the chemical in peppers that feels “hot” to us, then what do they taste? Parrots go for chili peppers as if they were candy.
