Actually, birds are not affected by the capsasin in peppers.

You’d think he’d go with something more tempting.

Yeah. At least he could have filled them with cheese, dip them in egg batter and fried them on the sidewalk. YUM!!!

I’ve seen reptiles (iguanas) eat frightening amounts of hot peppers and look around for more, so I’ll take the seed-dispersing thing with a grain of salt. I would agree with the convenience of a pre-flavored chicken.

If birds can’t taste the chemical in peppers that feels “hot” to us, then what do they taste? Parrots go for chili peppers as if they were candy.
