That’s…not much of a pun. I get the impression that John Deering was sleepy and/or pushing the deadline when he thought of this.

I get the reference, but this one just doesn’t seem funny to me. Oh well, I wont complain. You don’t see me trying to be funny every day on a schedule.

I can’t figure out the drawing of the figure — the dress makes it appear we are seeing her from the front. If that’s the case, her clown-face is at chest level, and that can’t be right…. so is that a clown mask slung over her back? But then the dress looks to be drawn backward… ???

I Can’t wait to read “Confessions of a Prairie Clown” by Nellie Oleson.
