Firefly was okay.

Yep…I’m out of the loop on this one. Don’t get it.

Ooooo, and wearing a red shirt as well. I’d stay well away from the butcher, mutton might be on the menu.

Firefly was a show created by Joss Whedon staring Nathan Fillion. It was on Fox, who completely mishandled it by broadcasting the shows out of order and skipping some episodes entirely. This caused poor ratings and they canceled it during it’s first season. The one season did do extremely well on DVD and increased its fanbase. Joss was even able to get a movie, ‘Serenity’, made to wrap up some of the plotlines that didn’t get resolved on the show. They’ve even published comics to expand and extend the story.

And many of the shows fans, know as ‘Browncoats’ still want to see the show come back.

I was just as confuzzeled as the rest of you all. Never heard of the show. Thanks Ssyrie for giving us the scoop.

Don’t play the card games, but loved Firefly. The lead actor will be better known to most readers by his long-running role as “Castle.” In that show they’ve had at least one episode that offered a loving homage to Firefly.
