It is the future that they bring when tomorrow comes

I guess I was partially right, he is the runt of the litter because he keeps thinking of schemes instead of following his instincts… FOOD!
No wonder he mooches so much from Chazz and Carmen later on…

I am SO bored by this “Poncho: Year One” storyline. I SO miss Chazz, Carmen, the cats, Boomer, Poo Poo, the pigeon and all the other characters, the brilliant punchlines and hilarious situations that used to make this strip one of my top favorite ever. And I’m saying this with heavy heart, as I am a huge fan of Paul Gilligan’s work (and will go on being one, of course). But I am so unhappy with this… I know many people like it, but I seriously hope it’s gonna end soon. Mr. Gilligan wrote on his blog that “long-time fans will be rewarded”: well, I’m deeply sorry to say that I am indeed a long-time fan, but I don’t feel rewarded at all. Sorry about the rant, just felt like sharing, even if you don’t agree or don’t care at all :)

ubbm and others were right yesterday. Did HE put up the sign? I don’t know how he could have, so I’m thinking Mommy must have. Is she the source of Poncho’s scheming genes?

Skarlett, I have to say I disagree with you too. This storyline is great! I’m really enjoying it.

Cheez, it’s only been a couple of weeks. The Baby Bird Bob Balloon storyline lasted ages, with no cats, no Carmen, no Poo Poo…
I like the way this is starting, and I admire Gilligan’s desire to shake things up and try something new. I’m hoping the pace picks up once the pups start walking, but we’ve got lots of interesting possibilities and potential new characters (his siblings, his previous owners, who knows who else?) to look forward to.

I hope this storyline goes even longer than the above whine.

I was having trouble telling Poncho apart from his siblings until today. Now I can identify him clearly. I’m loving this storyline.

@Fritzoid You got the point, it’s been ALREADY (not “only”) a couple of weeks, and the story still hasn’t kicked in… And for a comic strip it’s too long, IMHO. Anyway, everyday this website is full of rude answers to people who DARE to express different opinions. As you are allowed to like something, anybody else is entitled to have a different opinion. This section is called “Comments”, not “GOOD COMMENTS ONLY”. It’s weird that a website dedicated to something nice and funny like comics is full of rude people. Glad I read them via mail everyday and don’t have to read all this crap. This is the last time I’m commenting on any comic, there’s just no point in exchanging opinions if all you get is rudeness. Grow up people, and learn some good manners. Apparently reading comics does no good for your acidity. Get a grip & take it easy, for heaven’s sake.

The other four (that I’ve identified) seem pretty distinct, except the one who looks exactly like Poncho (presumably that’s Orlando).

Just out of the womb & no job yet, Poncho expects his siblings to pony up $5 ? What a great capitalist he’ll make
WoodEye over 14 years ago
Skarlett Do you hear that sound….. (silence) That’s all of us ignoring you. Now this doesn’t mean you should stop commenting. It just means we have the right to not read your rant. Please feel free to vent. There ARE rules but you don’t seem inclined to break them, and there still is the flag button. So if this forum is a good release, go right ahead.

By “Long-time fans will be rewarded”, he probably means those who sit through the initial stuff like ponchos birth. Then comes the good stuff. YAY! I kind of like to see how poncho was raised in his early childhood.

Hey woodeye have you heard the joke about the man with the wooden eye? Is that where you got the name? :D

Skarlett, well you asked for it by the “…even if you don’t agree or don’t care at all :)” in the end of your post. A couple of people mention that, one talks about “whine”. Otherwise I can’t see all that rudeness you talk about. Have you read the comment thread at For Better Or For Worse? THERE you can see some rudeness…
