Here in northern Maine bats have pretty much disappeared over the last few years because of some mite infestation. I use to see them flying around in the evenings, but not any more.

I think it’s just great how we commentators work together to figure out the ones we don’t understand on our own.
It was the archer’s salute. . . that they could “draw, and loose” an arrow from a yew bow.
