Newspapers can be more factually accurate than most other news outlets. TV, radio, & internet sources are too interested in being fast & flashy. There are some newspapers so biased (some for each side) as to be worthless. But the best news coverage I’ve found is still in a newspaper.
Strange. I posted a comment earlier, which must have been deleted by the GC forum moderators. I would love it if someone – anyone – could explain why. The comment was “Bucky hoist with his own petard. Again.”
FWIWFrom Wiktionary.org…“To be hurt or destroyed by one’s own plot or device intended for another; to be “blown up by one’s own bomb”.He has no one to blame but himself; he was hoisted by his own petard."
Petard…“a small bomb made of a metal or wooden box filled with powder, used to blast down a door or to make a hole in a wall.” Used in siege operations to gain entrance.
I’ve often seen that TV or online news sources have to change their “facts” as stories develop. At least by the time the news gets into print the facts are more established. (JP Steve, the son and grandson of newspapermen)

A newspaper is a poor place to look for facts these days.

Newspapers better know as Pulp Fiction. You forgot lining your ferret cage with it.

Why is the country in such bad shape? Too many fools thinking that Fox News has more credibility than newspapers.

“…based on fact” just like poop is based on food. It is, but it has been heavily processed and all the good stuff has been removed.
