    Judging by past dealings with this “warden”…he does whatever the heck he wants to. It’s going to be interesting to see how Joel and Rufus get out of this mess.

    Oh no!!!!! Poor Joel!!!!! I feel sorry for him. He should not have to bear these indignities. Rufus really should have listened to his much wiser, thoughtful friend.

    It looks like the warden has been doing drugs in that he just ordered the imprisonment of a man without due process.

    I remember when I really really loved this strip (about 1965), but now it feels like driving by a car wreck and you know it will be horrifying but you just can’t help looking. Ugh.
