My mother hit a raccoon one night on a country road—just bumped him. It was dark, no lighting. Golly they’re big, up close and personal!

Well humans seem to cross roads on Zebra, Pelican and Puffin crossings

I see a lot of these rebels ending up like James Dean.

And the deer are getting really cross with you too.

Raccoons are more likely to be hit on the road if they are ill. On the Eastern seaboard, the first rule out for a sick raccoon should always be rabies. Raccoons are also susceptible to canine distemper.

This is very misleading — I know for a FACT that raccoons can’t read!
