Happy 30th Anniversary to “Arlo and Janis” and Jimmy Johnson!

According to the Arlo and Janis website, today marks 30 years since the first A&J strip! This strip has been very precious to my husband and me. The timeline of our lives has been very similar, and as so many others have remarked, it feels as if Jimmy has been peeking in at our windows at times. I just want to say a very heartfelt thank-you to you, Jimmy! Thanks for all the years sharing our lives, our ups and downs, and thanks for all the laughs!

My wife and I were young marrieds when the strip began – we have always found it an enjoyable mirror of our life together.

I watched a skink hunt down and kill one of the big roaches we have down here in the South. That’s a 2" long roach.I like skinks.

Since they say the traditional 30th anniversary gift is pearls, I guess we could call today’s “Love Is..” strip “Pearls of wisdom” A&J style.
