In college on some days I had 8AM and 4PM classes. I skipped the 4PM, boring history. Only went for tests. Got a B+. The Prof was pissed at the administration and didn’t really care.
I used to nap in French class, too—it was also right after lunch, and the teacher was REALLY boring. But since I was one of only two students in the class, my napping didn’t go over very well with the teacher…
History was the most boring subject for me in HS. It was memorization of events and dates. Now that I’ve lived through a lot of it, it has become fascinating – I can now relate to those events and dates.
I can more easily put myself in the place of a medieval farmer or a Roman soldier.
On the other hand, there is the matter of the substantial bulk of history I actually lived through. It’s interesting to see how it is “interpreted” in the classroom today. It barely resembles what I remember it being.
I just finished an associates degree at a junior college (I already have a bachlors from a major college) it was mostly to upgrade my skills and get a degree in a field I thought I could already work in but didn’t have any official training. To fill out my credits I took a couple history classes ( I love history) and got A’s in both classes. At the end of the second class I went to pick up my final exam and the intructer informed me that I was the only one in class to get an actual A on the exam (the only 90 in the whole class).

What’s wrong with napping in the morning instead? Not everyone is a morning person.

wait until college. knew many kids who wanted to sleep in, and registered for afternoon and evening classes. big mistake. half had to retake.

Paige is already established as having problems waking up in the morning. Sounds like a perfect first class for her to finish waking up with.
