That was me last night… I kept retracing my steps because I kept forgetting why I went to a certain part of the house… I’ve gotten into the habit to scan the whole room to see what brought me there in the first place if I’ve forgotten by the time I got there… So sad, and I’m only 31 years old… LOL!
I don’t need to be Earl’s age to do that. That doesn’t work for me, Tanya, but going back to the room I started in will jog my memory of why I was going to the room I went to.
I often go into the basement to get something and get distracted by something else that I see and need, go back upstairs and realize I didn’t get what I went down there for.
What’s really fun is when you go in the kitchen with the intention of getting something out of the cabinet, open the refrigerator and then stare at the contents– wondering what the heck you were looking for.
Bill Cosby says there’s a switch in the older human’s butt. When you are sitting you remember what you wanted, but as soon as you stand up and walk into another room you forget. When you go back and sit again, the switch is triggered and you remember again. Sure seems to work for me.

Hey if you have ADHD as an adult you don’t have to wait to your old to have that problem. I’m told I’m fun to watch at at work.

Hopefully their expressions are different. I would think Roscoe’s is determined and Earl’s is quizzical.

Earl’s thinking about the hereafter. “Why am I here and what did I come after?”

Pull the chain down to turn the bulb on above Earl’s head so he will know what he will be going to the next thing.
