Donald Thump? (Sorry), anyway, what is this “job security” you talk about? Job Security…That’s an oxymoron now isn’t it?…I remember the Elders spoke of such things..It is so written,….But no one believes wide eyed old men talking crazy.about job security….
The trick is to do your job so well that other companies want to hire you at a higher salary. Or you can stick with being mediocre and worry about being fired.
I have the best of both worlds: I’ve automated my work to the point where that on most days I’m done by 9 AM. However, if I do not tweak and maintain the system, it will collapse on itself and take a staff of 5 people full-time to do the job.
I know this because I am the one person doing the work of these 5 former employees. All have moved on to other parts of the company or other companies. None were laid off, but as their work got laid on me, I had to adapt.
Nobody else in the company has the technical skills to maintain my systems, and to be frank, probably few people in town do either.
I’m retiring in three more years. I’ve stopped looking for the perfect job and will coast out from here. I could retire now, if I wanted to, but my wife would probably kill me if I hung around the house too much.

That’s how Trump runs his company, except his children are exempt from this part.

Corporations are dictatorships unless, of course, they are gov’t run companies — those are called failures.
