Yeah, THERE’S the kind of protectionism you expect from fathers of teenage daughters. Let her and a teenage boy get together, preferably in different time zones. It’s either that or shut her away in a shaolin convent.
I must have been an exception to the rule, as I never worried about my daughter when she was a teen. Maybe I was just naive, but I figured she had enough sense to know better. Her mother, on the other hand, was much stricter. I guess I was basing that on my own (lack of) exposure to such things when I was that age. BTW, everything turned out fine with her and she’s a professional in her mid 30’s now.
