I absolutely LOVE raisin pie, but for some reason they don’t sell the pie filling anymore, at least not around here. When I got remarried, I inherited two step-daughters, one of which would not eat raisins or pie.
Straight Rhubarb or Gooseberry are my favorites, but hard to find. Good as preserves too. A local farm market sells a fig/raspberry/orange/ginger preserve they call Frog Preserves that is a novel and tasty combination.

What a shame the pie turned out so bad. I love strawberry rhubarb pie.

These girls are weird. I would have removed the strawberries.

I’ve never tasted rhubarb. What’s it like?

Least they liked the rest of the pie

Never could understand why people put rhubarb in a perfectly good strawberry pie.

Rhubarb pie needs tons of sugar to make the rhubarb edible.

Me LOVES Strawberry-Rhubarb pie when it’s DONE correctly.. Most ppl tend to skimp on the sugar content and under-bake it.. grrrr !!

Straight rhubarb pie is wonderful, imo. I don’t like the combination with strawberries, though. Yuck.

Don’t know what she’s got against carrot cake, either. As long as it’s loaded with cream cheese icing…

Nope. Hold the rhubarb. In fact, throw it out.

Carrot cake takes a backseat to no dessert! It’s awesome.

Slimy rhubarb, slimy kale. Some people just can’t cook. I have been witness to leek abuse, and the perps claimed to be professionals.
