You don’t want to be embarrassed when the vet calls the pet’s name or you are walking the pet. I knew a elderly man who’s dog was named Precious. I am sure some much younger ladies took offense when they thought he was calling them Precious.

I think they should name it Schrödinger.

It’s the first time that the news of adopting a cat is so disappointing.

I like the name Top for a cat.

Reminded, namewise, of Polly’s cat Bootsie who was a problem child until she renamed him the more dignified Brutus (in the Cat Who mysteries).

We don’t talk about Bruno.
