Why do rabbits lay eggs?

I have never in my life gone on an Easter egg hunt. My mother would make baskets – especially personalized for each person in the house – and place them at their spot at the table. One year my sister took mine, hid it, and left clue cards. It was so much fun that I did it for my little brother 3 years in a row (the 3rd year he specifically asked me to).

I grew up on the Mass. North Shore. I remember a LOT of Easter snowstorms!
