Hey Allison Barrows, Here’s a Twitter thread you should read. It’s full of newspaper articles all about how kids are spoiled compared to their parents. Except all of the articles are from decades ago. The oldest is from 1895. The spoiled kids are you. your parents, your grandparents, and so on.
The next time you’re tempted to say that mobile phones make it impossible for children today to play on their own, please read the articles written in the early parts of the 20th Century by adults complaining that radio, movie theaters and later TV make it impossible for kids to entertain themselves.
No matter when you were born, when you were a child, adults thought your generation was spoiled.
