I remember the first Thanksgiving after my husband & I got married. We invited my father-in-law over for Thanksgiving dinner. That morning and on through the entire day we were hit with a huge snowstorm. My FIL still made it over. I had made a lovely roast beef & we had a great time, weather notwithstanding.
When we have turkey we cut up all the leftover meat and put it in baggies in the freezer. That way we can pull some out and have it over a longer period of time and not have to eat up all the leftovers within a week.

Many decades ago I won a full leg of smoked pork. We had no refrigeration and it lasted us a month during January down under.

14 people? That doesn’t seem like enough turkey to me with that many coming over.
