Must’ve been radio at the time.

We built forts and dug caves and made tree houses and secret hideouts. We played cowboys and Indians and roamed the woods or neighborhoods, if one lived in town.We knew where “something” had a den dug under a hollow log. We watched baby birds learn to fly and made pens and houses to play with baby chicks and kittens and puppies. We watched the baby pigs learn to root.We listened to Sky King on Saturday mornings. Then no more until at night we gathered around the big radio, ate popcorn and listened to Dad’s shows. Sometimes we went to the picture show on Saturday night. Saturday night, in small Texas towns, the theaters stopped the movie at 9 o’clock and played Fibber McGee and Molly over the speakers. If they didn’t, no one would go to the movies on Saturday night.We made bubble mixtures out of Ivory soap flakes. Then they invented ready-made bubbles. Which, of course, is what began the downfall of Western Civilization.Just to be clear, I had a lot of the good old days. I would NOT go back. I am now a time traveler hell bent on getting as far into the future as I can. I never in my life got the TV habit. I still don’t own one. I waste all my time commenting on comic strips.

they are a little past the age where bubbles are endlessly fascinating. varying on the child of course. one kid i know who kept loving them for a well into adolescence

They had television, but there were only four channels.

She had T V, but there were only 2-3 Channels, so kids had to actually create their own entertainment. Although these two seem to have unique talent pretty well developed!

Most third and fourth graders are too old for bubbles.

I think it was invented.

TV existed, but not laptops, tablets & smart-phones. So we played outside!

Maybe Mark just didn’t know that video games still existed in 2015?
