So nobody’s dying, and he has time for a cocktail…? Good, because I worry about him, what with all the people dying around the world, he must be pretty busy…Unless maybe there are a lot of them…Like Santa Clauses?…Are there a bunch of Grimm Reaper helpers?

You don’t have to go to the light, but you can’t stay here.

Communication problem: Phrase has two equally correct interpretations depending on where you are sitting. It’s the elephant again.

Well, technically it’s “Closing Time” they take very Seriously.Last Call is 15 Minutes before “No More Drinks on the Bar”. Chug it or Lose It time..That’s because, in the state where I live, even One drink still on the bar One Minute after the legal Closing Time can Lose you a Liquor License that cost as much as $300,000.Just for the Piece of Paper. Then you need an actual Bar and some Booze to sell..Yeah, most places around here take Last Call VERY Seriously. .One of my favorite places back when I was “Young & Foolish” had a Great way to get that last drink off the bar.Instead of “Last Call”, they had Breakfast Call.About 20 minutes before Last Glass OFF the Bar, they took orders for Breakfast. they served your choice of Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Gravy over Biscuits or French Toast. Or a Combo. All served with a Huge Mug of nice Strong Coffee. And a Very Small price tag. Cheaper than a Beer..They kept the Breakfast Kitchen open for at least 2 Hours after the Bar shut down. You even saw the occasional customer coming in Just for the 2 AM Breakfast..No one will never know just how many Lives were saved by them giving the customers a couple hours to Sober Up with Pancakes and Coffee before driving home..
