Conservatives hate him because he helps the impoverished. They feel that ex presidents should paint themselves in the shower to show greatness.

Habitat for Humanity is one of the few charities I support. It will be a good legacy he leaves behind. Can’t say I cared too much for him as president – nice guy, but weak in the leadership department, just not the right guy for the job, but then again I can’t recall any other decent Democrat available at the time, and no Republican was going to get elected immediately after Nixon.

Let me put it another way – he’s a much better human being than he was president which is something I can’t say about the rest of them in my lifetime.

I feel bad for Carter. We all have to go, but a death from cancer seems really bad.He is a good man, he has done more with his habitat for humanity than any past president has done. All past presidents should have to turn to doing good to make up for the mess they made.

Nice, Jeff. So a diagnosis of cancer is a death sentence, is it? You understand that it’s not 1950, don’t you? Anyway, I’m sure you’ve cheered up a lot of people who are undergoing treatments AND their families. Nice work!
