The Buckets by Greg Cravens for September 20, 2015

I asked you to get all your stuff out of the laundry room. I did! The underwear and socks in the basket? Oh. That stuff, too? I... Didn't see it. Why is your clean laundry dumped on your bed? I got it out of the laundry room! You didn't say what to do with it! Put it away! Well, thanks for tellin' me! What th...? Did you just stuff everything, hangers and all, into your dresser? No! Some of it wouldn't go, so it's under the bed and stuff. Why didn't you just grab all your clothes and put 'em away right the first time? It's too much work.

When my son was about Toby’s age I showed him how to do laundry. What he did with it after that was on him. If he wanted to go to school looking like a rumpled paper bag .that was on him. He didn’t, but I let him figure it out. Pick your battles parents.

One of my favorite sayings – Those that can’t find the time to do it right the first time, somehow find the time to do it over.

I was never like Toby when I was 15.
But I wasn’t perfect either just in case anybody bites my head off.
