Actually it suddenly hit me that Skeezix’s “Dad-rat the dad-ratted rat-dadder,” was almost exactly what another OTR character would say when confronted with his failure to fix whatever mechanical device he was attempting to fix. That character was none other than the squire of 79 Wistful Vista, Fibber McGee!
