If you were from Boston you would know the R’s simply escaped to other words like: I have and idear. Let’s get a spatuler and make some pancakes and get drunk on Alabamer Slammah’s. It’s cold out. I’m putting on my parker.
Born and raised in Southern California where we speak perfect English, (she said facetiously) I never understood all the addition and subtraction of “R’s”.
My mother has a couple of cousins by the names Wes and Earl. Being from Kentucky Earl is pronounced very similarly to “oil” so it always gave people from out of town a case of the giggles whenever someone would be talking about Wes and Earl.
