@legal Belgium is a country newer than ‘french fries.’ Yes, Belgium claims they originated frying potatoes (shaped like fish!), but so does France (shaped the way we know them). Jefferson had his French chef serve them at the White House when he was president. By the way, the Belgium story would have occurred when Belgium was part of Spain, tho by the time it was part of France, surely some people were too lazy to shape them like fish and were making them more the way we do. As to where they were first fried, I would guess somewhere in the Americas, where potatoes come from. I’m sure some predecessor to the Inca tried frying potato slices in oil or lard, and because of the shape, I’m sure some slices were smaller sticks. But that’s just based on statistics, whereas the Belgians & French claim they have specific evidence. [The first documented potatoes in Europe would be in [what is now] Belgium in 1567 (arriving by boat from the Canaries, where they’d been growing them for a few years), though earlier boats probably arrived in Spain with Potatoes.]

I don’t understand ANY of the menu (expect the French part which translates into “with french-fried potatoes”).

ln e^x is kind of null, though – it’s like x + 0.

In other words, the ln(e^x) is just x, so the price is $3.99. You were a little cryptic there, so I thought stating it a different way might help.

Quarter-pounder with fries and 16 ounce drink. Or 1/6 pizza slices.
