Sounds like Linus did study, and could have passed an essay test. I remember those as being easy, just regurgitate the facts. Well easy if you aren’t a slow writer like I was. Questions which ask your opinion are more something to dread.
It was the ol’ “soap opera” aging system, where characters aged to be where they needed to interact believably with whoever they needed to interact with, according to the writers at the time. If Linus, Shroeder, Lucy, and Sally were introduced as kids instead of babies originally, no problem. But of course we would have lost all those baby jokes!
Probably it’s too late for anyone to see this, but when I had true-false questions on a test, I would have one correct answer and four tempting answers (and an occasional totally-off-the-wall answer).
The thing about a True or False test is that the statement is either True, or it is what’s known as a Distractor (which SOUNDS like it COULD be true IN PART!). But I’ve also learned (through experience) that if any part of such a Test statement is False, well then the entire statement should be marked as False.

And a multiple choice test gives you at least a 20% of getting it right even if you guess.

Never thought that CB and Linus would be in the same grade. I guess I imagined that Linus was a lot younger.

If it were an essay test, Snoopy would ace it—as a dramatic mystery story.

The chance of getting a 100% on a 20 question T/F test is about one in a million…good luck, Linus, you’ll need it…

Statement with “always” or “never” are always false, Linus!

Early in the school year I used to give a true-false test that was all false. Very interesting to watch.

@pelican47I prefer to think that CB was just aware that Linus’ class had an exam that day. Doesn’t necessarily mean that he was taking it.

This might be a school with merged classes.

I prefer "Yes or “No” myself but “True or False” isn’t so bad either.

I learned a long time ago if you read every question on the test before you answered any of them, many times the answers are in the other questions.
