Henry would rather build that luggage out of DEAD coal-miner’s gloves. ( Remember those coal-mine disasters from a few years ago, and all the safety violations that were found afterwards? )As to the cost of ‘green technology’. a question. How much did a CD player cost when they were first introduced? Or how about a DVD player? An Ipod? Or a flat screen TV?And how much do they cost NOW?

Of course, odds are the electricity running the electric cars comes from burning coal.

…and of course, just like the truth, Consumer Reports has a liberal bias.

Mechanization and mountain top removal has terminated far more miners’ jobs, and towns, rivers, and lifestyles than anything alternative energy has caused.

Murray Mining has terminated plenty of miners’ lives to produce those gloves.

It’s diappointing that a “gearhead” like Payne can’t see the changes, as needed, in the auto industry. I’m a collector, and my nearly 50 year old cars have gotten over 30 mpg since new, while cruising at 90 mph!!

Even Ferarri, not just Tesla and Toyota are considering hybrids and all-electrics as viable, especially using WIND power or NON-coal burning sources to power them. The supposed dependence on coal or oil to produce electicity is the myth of the future, though it WILL take a while to get there.

BTW, with a standard Caddy, or Chevy pickup, costing over $60 K, those high performance, hand-built, specialty cars really aren’t that expensive.

According to Tesla, the car costs $120,170. and out performs both Porsche & Ferrari..I’m not sure Why the Slam at Consumer Reports.Oh, wait, CR Never accepts Advertising or any other sort of Payoffs to get “Better Reviews”.Darn Commie, Pinko Honesty. .And, the Most Expensive Solar Go Pro rig I could find in just a Quick Search was $665..

Mr. Payne regularly demonstrates that he will jump on any topic that might be even remotely related (or, not at all related) to the automoble that he really, really wants to draw. Thus all the Obama-in-limousine cartoons.Given his auto-obsession, he probably covets a Tesla.

I’d like to know how are the lungs of the West Virginia coal miners?

Payne is like a train wreck – you just know his attempt at satire will be bad, but you still feel compelled to watch.

Sometimes I think his name is misspelled. It should be: Pain.

Someone seems to be forgetting his basic capitalism laws of supply and demand and competition driven price reduction.

That Solar powered Go-Pro would make a pretty good space probe, given the proper communications gear.
