Had a lot of great teachers, but one of my favorites was Mrs. McQuality who was a race car driver (on the local tracks) and used to bring her race car to school. All the boys thought she was a rock star.

Miss Louise, my 4th grade teacher at Samuel Ready. We had two teachers named Thompson; the other was Miss Dora, an English lady who taught home-ec in the upper school.

What a nightmare! Some people just should not teach math. I squeaked by with a “D” in high school, had to retake Algebra in college and got “A’s” of course my transcript only says “CR” for credit.

My favorite teacher was Mr. Maxie who taught 6th grade. He taught with humor.
