Man 1: How long do we have to stand down here in the parking lot? Woman: Until the emergency crews get things under control. Man 2: What exactly was the emergency? Woman: Cabbage in the company microwave.
Kimchi tastes delicious! For some reason, I’ve never been offended by the smell of cabbage in general. Or fish…or popcorn. The very things that most people say stinks. To me it only reminds me that I skipped lunch and my stomach starts growling. But I work from home these days so I don’t have to worry about offending anyone but my cats and my family. ;)
Where I worked we had a company film we all had to watch (3000,000 employees) that stated no one could complain about foul smells in the break room. It might alienate someone of a different culture if they were warming up or eating their food in the break room. It took management about 4 weeks to realize that noxious odor coming from the break room was a combination of backed up plumbing and 2 refrigerators that were way overdue for cleaning. Sometimes that PC crap gets taken way too far.
