One word : power failure. Reminds me of a young couple I met on the motorway, GPS dead. They didn’t know where they were, didn’t know where they were going, had no idea where the place they were going to was. They just put the name in the GPS and followed the instructions. That was weird.

If you worked on Long Island as a teacher you would be looking at a 50-60k starting salary , step raises, automatic raises, great health benefits, and retiring with a 40 – 60% of salary pension after 25 years. Plus the summers off, and tutoring cash

For that I have no idea.

It’s why I buy products that have “Labels for Education” on them. I know it’s not much, but I also support my school system through taxes, too!

totalloserI don’t know the Hamptons, but around here, they won’t talk to you without a Masters; if male, can coach football plus one other sport; will start in the upper $30,000; pay your own way for “refresher courses” every summer; pay your commuting costs (which may be across city traffic or across the county); and never offend any fundamentalist even though you are teaching biology or history.

I’ve done tech support. I’d give teaching a try. I’m not sure which would be worse: clients or children.
