Sir rodney nailed it. fear of spiders has nothing to do with the level of danger. fuzziness is scary. lol.

I would have done the same!

The dominant empire builders, such as the Egyptians, Persians, Romans, etc. surely had atomic weapons. There is no way they could have subdued the entire known world without them. (Tongue in cheek comment, folks.) The Bhagavid-Gita describes what can be easily be interpreted as an atomic attack.

“Friendly fire” is the inevitable result of “military intelligence”.

I think we must gain some perspective here…

like a scene out of “The DI” the sergeant will have every one of the troops look for that spider and give it a proper burial!

With a pal as Rodney you don’t need enemies

Cerb, no intelligence officer here, nor are they allies so it was a good call. Good intelligence reduces accidental killings and improves intended kills. Done right, this saves lives on your side and may even save the other guys. (Like if Jackson had known the war of 1812 was over before the battle of New Orleans. )
