Two people watch a news report about Kim Davis, the county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Woman: It's hard to believe that it wasn't so long ago when everyone agreed with Kim Davis.
In the future, “think like me or think like Satan”, will be known as the “Kim Davis” defense. It won’t work any better as a defense in the future than it does now.
Actually, it’s more true to say that it wasn’t so long ago that everyone agreed that people should DO THEIR JOBS! And if you can’t do it, then get another job.
The “religious test” of Article VI does not prevent an official from practicing their faith; it prevents a person’s religion from excluding a person from office.

Render unto Caesar, the things that are Caesar’s. Render unto God, the things that are God’s.
This comes from the highest Christian authority, but still some people don’t get the concept of separation of church and state.

They wrote Article VI into the Constitution precisely because the founding fathers did NOT agree with Mrs. Davis, and didn’t trust her ilk.

And Article V says that law is made through Amendments passed by Congress, not by unelected judges on the Supreme Court.
