“You’re going to live”? “I’m afraid your son is dead”? I’m always amazed at Tracy’s ability to diagnose someone by looking at them from a distance of a few feet.
“Attempted murder”? I thought the body on the stage was dead. The Blank/Johnny Nothing shot him. Maybe that doesn’t count since the bullet might have been meant for Tracy.
Panel Planner.-interesting numbers, Tracy can all be read on Comics.com. Wonder if the numbers are a combo of both sites. Also Brenda Starr can be seen over there too. Alley Oop has clobbered King Gus, and Tarzan is witnessing a deal of trading Cows & Hogs for women between two African Tribes. Sometimes more action than Starr & Tracy, and sometimes not. Wonder if these artist & writers get ideas from reading each other’s strips.
You’re going to have to live with those deformed hands. You can’t even hold onto a gun from one panel to the next. You’re probably not going to go to prison, though, unless they hire a new detective who is smart enough to remember your name. As it is, looks like they’ll forget all about Johnny Nothing and try to prosecute Blank. They won’t get far with that, since he’s been dead for years.
I think I figured out why Locher seems to have forgotten the first person to be shot in this adventure and just left him bleeding on the stage. I think Locher is aiming the strip at boys who are just learning to read. He figures they start reading the strip as soon as they have the reading skills, and stop reading it after a couple of weeks when they give up hope that it’ll ever get any better. He figures there is no point in referring to anything that happened more than a couple of weeks ago because he figures no one currently reading the strip saw that. It would only confuse them.
I’VE GOT IT! I totally agree that the strip is aimed at 5 yr-olds who are learning their letter sounds well enough to stumble through a Dr. Seuss book with big lettering. After they read DT for a few weeks, they look up at their babysitters and say in unison, “Hey! What the hell! That jerk just changed the story from last week! Read me something that makes sense, and no more stories about a Wussie cop!”

He heeled quickly! I don’t like the things that go on at that science museum. It’s spooky!

Give me one good reason why Johnny Nothing/The Blank is putting his mask back on despite his injuries. Hell, give me ANY reason.
Like I said before, it’s really Little Orphan Annie, upset that her strip got canned while this thing lives on.

Blank’s explanation of why they tried to kill Tracy will qualify him for getting off with a justifiable homicide defense.

If he’s trying to kill cops because they are dumb, why didn’t Blank start with Sam and Liz?

Yes, the explanation is simple. Fifty per cent of the population is below average in intelligence.
