Also from Corey’s website (referring to Barkeater Lake): “Rumors of comeback are possible, but unsubstantiated at this time.” - maybe he’s actually going to write some new strips?
Akenta: Don’t know how she gets out of the jacket. In the original storyline this is the last strip in the jacket story. In the next comic strip on Monday she is just “out” of the jacket and back in her normal clothes.
It’s been exactly one month since a cartoon’s been posted. Somebody should check on Pandolf. Get him dried out and back to posting cartoons he drew YEARS ago.
TimeTraveler, that’s the biggest flaw in this strip; Pandolf’s inability to complete a story arc. he hasn’t learned what other writers know; write the ending first.
I think Delores must certainly be smarter than a lot of the comments above - after all, she can stand up and talk at the same time. It shouldn’t take her more than six weeks to get out of a stuck parka zipper in mid-summer.
So I’m not worried about her - just about how batty readers can get (and I’m one of them) trying to figure out what’s next. We’re all so addicted to the media feeding us our entertainment like clockwork … Personally, I think it’s refreshing to be reminded that art is created by humans.

I’ll bet that coat is getting hot after three days in July…
Even worse after three weeks…

Fortunately, when this storyline originally ran it was fall.

Maybe we won’t get any more strips loaded until fall to give the season time to catch up. ;-)

He currently has a notice on his website saying Barkeater Lake 9.27.2010. Poor Delores will have to stay in that coat for another two months.

A brand new Barkeater Lake begins on 9.27.2010. New characters, new story lines and a complete reboot of the entire franchise.
Just like Star Trek. Only online and… In cartoons.
www.barkeaterlake.com and www.coreypandolph.com for updates.

Love you, Corey, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I have my fingers crossed. Good luck.

I’m excited about the New story lines, but how does she get out of the jacket? What a place to stop the story :-)
