There is always a price to pay for ignorance.

Miss Wormwood’s revenge! Not only will he be itching to learn more about leaves, but (with any luck) he’ll be out of class for a few days.

Poison Sumac. Have not seen or heard of it since leaving New York umpteen decades ago. However, not to worry. Out here we have poison oak which is worse – the leaves, the branches, and even the animals that brush up against it.

Until the parents find out that the aliens are doing like they do every night: they’re planning to take over the world. Sorry, my timeline may be a little off. Pinkie and the Brain may not have influenced Bill Watterson at all.

I’m not sure there is any limited space, as defined as how far a 6-year child can travel on his own, that one can find more than 20 species of trees…unless the project allows for weeds and flower “leaves” as well.

I learned the hard, painful way how to identify Poison Ivy.

With the power of knowledge, Calvin could be holding his own future in his hands. Without it, ……..

I’ve known some teachers which would have given him a good grade for originality. As a teacher myself I find Ms. Wormwood’s lack of adaptability here disappointing.

There can also be a price to pay for knowledge.Knowledge can lead to better-paying jobs, which can lead to more possessions, which can end up dominating our lives, if we don’t also have the wisdom to limit our possessions and control how we spend our time with them.There is always a price to pay for knowledge without wisdom.

Not all trees are safe to try to climb on if it has poison sumac. But it depends if your allergic.

Calvin clearly has ADHD and high functioning autism. Notice how Calvin is always in his world and only seems to have a friendship with Hobbes? Hobbes is not a stuffed tiger in my opinion. Hobbes is a real tiger in the comic.

Sigh. There you go again! The story is that mankind spoke only one language until, in their arrogance, they decided to build a tower to heaven. Paying attention in class can be the difference between noticing the poison ivy plant and noticing you have a poison ivy rash!
