Happy Independence Day, Everyone!

I once worked for a guy who knew Rube Goldberg. Rube was a University of California Berkeley graduate engineer who quickly discovered that he could make more money drawing these crazy cartoons than he could make doing engineering.

I think it’s called… nice try.

They allow having your own fireworks where the people in Foxtrot live? that’s out of the question in Seattle.

I’d say let Jason give it a try! He sure can’t do any worse than Roger and with all his experience with rockets, he’s not as likely to end up in the ER!

Smart Idea

Any excuse for a pyromaniac. Who cares if it works? It’s not like Jason invented the grill-lighter because he’s hungry for a hot dog.

I always enjoy any time when he gets his mom to agree with one of his hare-brained ideas, even momentarily! Usually, it’s because someone else is even more wacky. (How many times have we seen Roger singed, blackened, or otherwise burned? I’ve lost count.) Too bad she ends up being sensible anyway, most times …
