I thought Jar-Jar Binks was the best character in those Star War Episodes. What other character can you remember. Those that don’t like Jar-Jar probably enjoyed ST:TNG (a TV more boring to watch then Golf or BaseBall)
These last strips remind me of working for Xerox in Anderson, IN. It is so bad that people working there would pay to work for Rita. Any way, this, (put in your favorite adjective), made the statement to his team that if people didn’t like working there, they could just clock out and leave. I jokingly suggested that we all do that, as he left the room. Five minutes later all sixteen of us clocked off the phones and went to the front desk to hand in our badges. The General Manager came running out in a panic, since there wasn’t enough people on the phones to honor the contract with Verizon cell phone. Ten minutes later the supervisor was escorted from the plant and we were back on the phones. Xerox has a 95% turn over in six months, that’s how bad it is.
Insulting the readers really isn’t welcomed or encouraged. We like to think this is a chance to enjoy a laugh- not prove some point or settle scores. I won’t name screen-names just now, but please, let’s try to be civil, and not let the anonymity of the web tempt us to zing one another with clever put-downs.
This Jar-Jar discussion brings to mind an old memory of the very first "pirated’ movie I ever saw. My boss, believe it or not, had downloaded a cam of “Phantom Menace”. The quality was absolutely awful, and it turned out to be a “Fan Edit”, where Jar-Jar had been edited out, as much as was possible and still make sense.

I despise Jar Jar Binks. I did, however, rather like Boss Nass, especially since he was voiced by Brian Blessed.
