Perhaps Chip Dunham has not recently read the description of his comic to the right. “…shipboard malcontents, incompetents and laggards…” “…Louie…is the center of attention…adventures on land and at sea.” That is why I started following this comic 15 or so years ago when it first appeared in a local daily. Now we have Raymond the talking dog, motorized, ball and hockey playing mice, with an air force yet, and a monstrous purple cat. I keep reading for the occasional flashes of the original brilliance.

coot31 I miss the old days too! But I do still enjoy the strip. Chip’s been at this a long time. It wouldn’t surprise me (HEAVEN FORBID) that he would “retire it” one of these days.
