    Since I wasn’t reading this ‘toon back in the day, I don’t know if Phil ever actually married Georgia or not. Hard to believe he’d ever willingly marry, since he’s so uninterested in commitment…

    Lynn’s Notes:*There’s no punch line here. There should have been. Mike had an opportunity to answer the question with a smart comeback. I couldn’t think of one…so, neither could he. This is when telling on-going stories, making one day’s strip lead into another, saved my behind. Now and then I could end a strip with an obvious silence…and get away with it.

    @Gweedo – It’s legal here !!! – Murray

    The operative word is commitment !( As in being locked away ).

    Interesting that when describing marriage, words like institution and commitment, are always used….just sayin’ !

    It is nice to see a funny strip without Michael freshmouthing his family.

    To me this was a punchline. I thought it was really cute that Lizzie was so excited about something without knowing what it was – and so real.

    I was married for 42 y6ears before my wife died, but I still maintain, “If marriage is so great, why is it the _only license you never have to renew?”
