October came to California with good rain and snow in the mountains!!!!! Beautiful clouds with unusual lighting and the brightest rainbow ever yesterday!! Love it!!
A sunny day to all those who need it and a rainy day to those who need it.-——————-jessegooddoggy: Glad to hear the good news.-——————-Be healthy, wealthy and wise everyone.
Wow, I took yesterday off to show my visitors from Australia the sights and so much has happened at TC and in Oregon. Chesney you DO need to get away but at the rate you are going it’s to the slammer! Fall has arrived in NYC….it was so cool this morning I had to break out a fall jacket for the dog walk. And rain…let’s not talk about that! Could have used it during the dry summer. @Queen: The ‘last Kentuckian’ will be adopted ‘tout suite’. No one can resist that little guy. What a personality he has…I envy his new prospective adoptive family. To all you ‘handy’ TC folks I applaud your skills and am also a fix-it person. Learning by observing and doing is the way to go.
I arrvived in Boston from the UK Tuesday night to a soaked dining room carpet from a huge leak of unknown origin. My Boston house, where I grew up, is unusually configured, having been built in 1846. The dining room is below ground at the front of the house, and the kitchen opens up to the backyard at the back of the house. Turns out it was a leaking pipe in the street which the water dept came and fixed this morning. No more leak, but still a sodden carpet. Still, it was kind of old and needed replacing, and there’s a good chance I can make a claim to the water dept and maybe get something toward replacing it.
I loved the pics today. Chesney in the cat carrier was precious! Fanolio’s pix was funny (but true in the way cats think of themselves—-all of mine think they are VIPs!)
HOORAY, YA HOOOOO. The Stubster (Queen’s last kitten from Kentucky) was adopted today to his forever home and new feline companion. Purrfect match in that he craved another feline buddy. Helps me as all day I’ve been worried about next door neighbor’s husband….in the ER again. Anxiously awaiting news he was able to come home and not be admitted.
When the house was built in 1997, copper was not required by code. It IS up north in the Salt Lake City area because they get so much snow and freezing weather. We don’t. But that winter is just went on for days and days. Anyway, someone told me that the current building code requires copper.

I’ve decided that she stands out better against the white of the cookie jar bunny.
